We are delighted to announce that today, Carrie Evans joins Washington Appleseed as our new Deputy Director. She is a wonderful addition to our team and I know that you will enjoy working with her!  Carrie was formerly the Senior Policy Analyst for Strategic Initiatives at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs, responsible for program development and new initiatives.  During her public policy and management graduate studies, Carrie conducted policy research for Washington Kids Count.  Prior to arriving in Seattle in 2002, she coordinated outreach efforts on a maternal and child health project in Oregon, led a state-wide effort to expand mentoring programs in Maine, and led backpacking trips for teenage girls in the mountains of the Northwest.  Carrie currently co-chairs the Seattle Women's Commission.  She holds a B.A. in History from Colorado College and an M.P.A from the University of Washington. Welcome, Carrie!
