Welcoming Nicola White and Jennifer Burgess-Capoccia to Washington Appleseed!

Nicola White, a member of the New York bar and Irish law graduate, joins us after being awarded the Thomas Addis Emmet Fellowship in Comparative Public Interest Law. She is still trying to adapt to the warmer climates of Seattle and enjoying lots of Starbucks! Jennifer Burgess-Capoccia is a third year student at the University of Washington School of Law.  She served as the Law School's Society for Small Business Development (SSBD) 2005-2006 President and currently serves as the SSBD Vice President of Legal Relations.

In a previous life, Nicola worked as a Denny's graveyard shift waitress.  Nicola will be working on the Expanding Access to Dental Care Project and the Children of Incarcerated Juveniles Project. Jennifer is working with the Heller Ehrman Economic and Community Development in Distressed Communities Project. We are delighted to have Nicola and Jennifer join us for the summer!

With this writing, we thank Eric Hess for his good work at Washington Appleseed and wish him well as he moves on to new endeavors.
